Used primarily in residential and commercial buildings.  With its smooth surface and even surface, TG gypsum board is highly suitable for decoration with paint, wall paper or any other textures.

 Fire-Resistant (Type X)

Combining all advantages of TG Regular with greater fire resistance.  Used for high fire rating constructions.  Fire ratings are achieved up to two hours.

Designed to use as a wall and ceiling lining in damp areas such as shower stalls, around tube enclosures and as a base for ceramic tiles.  It is also used in kitchen, utility, and as a ceiling finish for exterior soffits.

TG boards  thicknesses specific purposes:
5/8" recommended for the finest single-layer drywall construction.  The greater thickness provides increased resistance to fire exposure, transmission of sound, and sagging. 
1/2" for single-layer application in typical new construction and remodeling. 
3/8" lightweight, applied principally in repair and remodel work over existing surfaces.
