- Mark a level line around the room at
the required ceiling height.
- Fasten the wall angle to the wall
using either nails or screws.
- Allow an approximate of 3" of
room between the floor joists and the drop ceiling for the tile
installation.
- Install eye lags in joists at proper
hanger locations.
- Loop 18 gauge wire through eye lags
and twist at least 4 times to secure.
- Bend hanger wire 900 at
point of desired ceiling height. Use a tight string spanning the
room from wall angle to wall angle to ensure all hangers are at the
same height.
- Begin by installing main tees at mid -
point of room working out the perimeter. This ensures cut tiles
are at the perimeter.
- Ensure main tee slots are perfectly
aligned with each other to enable easy and accurate installations of
cross tees.
- Install 4' cross tees at every 2'
along the main tees.
- Always refer to your room outline.
- If you are using 2' x 2' tiles,
install 2' cross tees at mid-point of 4' cross tees.
- Lower ceiling tiles.
