Plan
your layout.
Measure
your room and make a drawing showing your perimeter walls.
Include window bulkheads, columns, stairwells etc. that
may come in contact with the ceiling. If you are boxing
these items in, show their dimensions.
Draw
your desired layout.
If
possible, start your layout at the room centre and work
out towards the perimeters.
Try
to keep the grid layout as simple as possible.
Keep
panels at the perimeter as even in size as possible and
avoid small panels at the perimeter.
Avoid
complex perimeter details. Remember, you are going to have
to cut panels to fit the layout you design.
Layout
Main Runners 48" apart in one direction and Cross
Tees 24" apart in the opposite direction.
If
possible, draw Main Runners perpendicular to ceiling
joists. This will give you the most flexibility when it
comes to hanging the Main Runners from the ceiling joists.
Show
your light fixture locations.
